Policies in america essays One of the most important and interesting policies in America is the war on terrorism. The war on terrorism is interesting for many different reasons. The first reason why it is so interesting is because how close to home the terrorism struck. For many people when September 11th came it was just another ordinary day. Getting up out of bed, taking a shower, eating breakfast, going to work, or school, just doing there ordinary everyday routine. But when the time came when the world trade centers and the pentagon were terrorized everything changed. Now instead of doing your everyday routine, terrorism became a major part of your everyday life. Every time you picked up a news paper, turned on your favorite news program, or even listened to the radio all you herd about was the threat of terrorism. Maybe now since of terrorism getting to work is more difficult, and people have to worry about the treat of someone terrorizing there place of work with a bomb or many even anthrax. Secu rity now has to be tighter, especially in airports. Even the war in Iraq affects more and more people everyday. It might be a family member, or a friend but the everyday stress or worrying about that person can be overwhelming. Something has to be done with the threat of terrorism. Instead of us living our lives afraid of other peoples actions the United States people need to go back to the way things used to be. Not worrying what is going on in other countries every moment of the day. Not letting the terror meter tell us how we are going to live our lives. Not letting some other leader of a terrorist group deciding if we are going to go on vacation. Not letting them control our lives. ...
